Joseph Edward Duncan, the pedophile at the centre of the high profile case of the kidnapping of an Idaho girl Shasta Groene whose family was found beaten to death, kept a blog.
BLOGGING THE FIFTH NAIL has its last post as May 13, three days before Shasta Groene’s mother, older brother and mother’s boyfriend were discovered bound and bludgeoned to death in their home in Coeur D’alene, Idaho.
A typical assertion:
"If you knew without doubt that closing 9 out of 10 prisons and releasing the 9 least violent out of 10 prisoners would reduce new crimes by more than half in less than 5 years, would you be for it?"
As things appear to stand, ex-con duncan would NOT less violent or likely to commit crimes outside of prison.
He also writes:
“My blog entries lately are erratic and full of a lot of B.S., for that I apologize…I am just trying to put down what is in my head, regardless. As far as ‘taking people with me’ well, I don’t know if that is right or wrong. In fact, I don’t know much any more what right and wrong even is. My view is either everything is right (in some regard) or everything is wrong (in some other regard).”

The series of five stamps released for general use Wednesday depicts a child character from a comic book started in the 1940s that is still published in Mexico.
Mexican President Vicente Fox denied these
caricatures were racist or even inappropriate ...The boy is drawn with exaggerated features, thick lips and wide-open eyes. His appearance, speech and mannerisms are the subject of "kidding" by white characters in the comic book ... Activists said the stamp was offensive, though officials denied it.
“One would hope the Mexican government would be a little more careful and avoid continually opening wounds,” said Sergio Penalosa, an activist in Mexico’s small black community on the southern Pacific coast.

PUT ALL HER MONEY IN HER NOSE
She says the $850,000 she won in the settlement of her sexual harassment suit against Clinton was gone years ago, most of it claimed by the lawyers who represented her: "I got $151,000 … I never made bunches of money," Jones told the press , adding enviously, "Mary Kay LeTourneau can molest a child, then turn around and marry him, and make $1 million off their TV wedding!" The advance transcript of Bush’s address to the nation on his nomination of Sandra Day O’Connor’s successor:
My fellow Americans, under my blustering façade—yes, I’m familiar with the word “façade”—I am tormented by remorse and self-doubt. I know I’ve run the country into the ground financially, and though my friends and I will make out like bandits, just as we did with Arbusto and Harken, I know it’ll take you all at least another fifty years to clamber out of the hole I’ve dug for you. Friends, neighbors, fellow citizens, I don’t want to be remembered as a man who used the office of the Presidency like some two-bit, tinhorn generalissimo ...
And for that reason, my fellow Americans, I am nominating LANI GUINIER to the Supreme Court of the United States."

LIBERALLY-BIASED MEDIA AGAIN . . .
"The Worst 100 People that are Screwing Up America".
DEAN ORNISH! Rumsfeld, Rove, Cheney, DUBYA, DeLay, Howard Zinn, Noam Chomsky, David Horowitz, James Dobson, Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner, Evangelist Rod Parsley (Columbus), Rev. Fred Phelps, Tony Blankley, Beverly LaHaye, Mel Gibson, Dr. Dino (Creationist), Bill Frist, M.D., Ed Begley, Jr., Sam Brownback, Bob Novak, Star Jones, Senator James Imhofe, Co-Presidente Vicente Fox, Rob Reiner, Phyllis Schaffley, Rick Santorum, Michelle Malkin, Scalia, Robert Bork, Alec Baldwin, Jesse Jackson, Bill O'Reilly, Shemp Hannity, Ann Coulter, Rash Limbo, Jack Kelly, Cal Thomas, Thomas Sowell, Dennis Prager, Mona Charen, Ralph Nader ... well, you get the idea.
Pundit Craig Crawford (National Journal, MSNBC, others) would like to see Matt Cooper chained up. To each his own, we suppose, but it's the reasoning that really gets us:
I want him to go to jail. We need this. Americans must see a reporter in handcuffs to understand what is happening to the freedom of the press. He should do a Martha Stewart and immediately volunteer to go to a minimum security facility where there will be no issue about his safety. And he should insist on a perp walk to the squad car. That picture will be as provocative and illuminating as the brave soul standing before the tank in Tiananmen Square.
Craig, let me buy ya a beer . . .

But what I liked the best is the huge mansions, owned by the cult, where the practitioners live. Beautiful mansions, yet on paper they've taken a vow of poverty. Their defense? Simple. "If the Catholics can do it, so can we". They're right on that one!
REMEMBER - your taxes pay for this. Everything they make, they keep. You pay taxes for them!
