Well, howdy!
This is my first post on TypePad. I'm still feeling my way - but I think I really like it. I have more options that I can perform without e-mailing a host. It's very user-friendly. Now - if I haven't misjudged the situation - and if the service doesn't go to hell like so many other things in the century of American decadence - I hope to see all the Rev'lers who regularly read da RANTS @ -

IF PRIVATE SCHOOLS AND HOME SCHOOLS ARE THE ANSWER -
SHOULD WE RECONSIDER THE QUESTION . . .

Pat Buchanan's scowling here, 'cuz - uncharacteristically for both of us - he and I find ourselves on da same page on this topic . . .
I'm fed up to HERE - (a point 2 feet or so above my head) - with right-wingers on TV, radio and angry message boards referring to those of us who oppose the irrational invasion and occupation of Quagmire as "America-haters" or as "disloyal to the troops".
Who supports the troops - the idiots who stick red, white & blue or yellow ribbons on their SUVs, who support Rumsfeld's "lean, mean", cheap-assed deployment policies, including redeployment of reserves and guardsmen past their exit dates - or the growing majority of Americans who believe we can best support the troops by just telling the TRUTH ?
"The Hate-America Crowd" has probably been copyrighted by FOX Snooze, along with "Fairly Unbalanced". Freedom has two great friends - soldiers who commit their lives to protect her - and the rest of us who exercise that precious freedom to speak to the ineptitude and incompetence, and the hubris and lies that have dumped our best young people in a horrific, killing, maiming mistake on the other side of the world!
I love this country. Those who call us "America-haters" are caught up in the pursuit of empire. The trouble is - empire doesn't love ya back . . .
